The people of the Maasai Mara don’t have a lot of worldly possessions - but they have a lot of warmth, kindness, curiosity, resilience, and generosity.

I spent a week embedded with Alabaster International in Kenya. It changed my life. It's not just how kind and generous and warm they were, which is enough to make anyone feel special, but how appreciative and happy they were with the education they received. Part of my work in Kenya involved teaching AI and cybersecurity essentials to the communities, and every student asked rich, thoughtful, deep questions that made me rethink these tools and challenged some of my ideas.
